Settings
Every option on the Settings page, with its default value.
Settings holds the options that apply to the whole panel. Choose a section on the left. Changes are saved automatically as soon as you change a field or a switch; there is no Save button. Thresholds can also be changed for a single server, in its settings.
The AI options are on their own page, AI → Settings: see AI analysis.
General
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Panel name | 3R Monitor | Shown in the title and in emails |
| Panel public URL | The URL given to the installer | The address agents use and that email links point to. The hint shows the address you are using right now. See HTTPS. |
| Time zone | Automatic | For times on the panel and in emails and reports, chosen from a list such as "(UTC-05:00) America/Panama". With Automatic, the panel shows each viewer's own time zone, and emails and reports use the server's (the hint shows which one). Installations from 1.0.4 or earlier keep America/Panama. |
| System language | Automatic (browser language) | The language of alert emails, and the default for visitors who haven't chosen a language. See Languages. |
A time zone chosen here applies to everything on the panel: lists, charts, the display-mode clock and share links, whatever the viewer's computer uses.
Map
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Master city | — | Choose a city to fill in the coordinates below |
| Master display name | Master | The master's label on the map |
| Master latitude / Master longitude | Empty | Empty = from the master's public IP, or else the time zone |
| Download and update it automatically (IP country database) | On | Downloads the IP-to-country database (DB-IP free edition) and updates it monthly, to show which countries requests come from. IPs are looked up offline, on the master only. |
Alert notifications
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Alert recipients | Empty | Addresses that receive every alert, separated by commas. Groups can add their own recipients. |
| Combine alert emails (minutes) | 5 | At most one email per interval; the rest is combined. 0 = no combining. |
| Reminder interval while down (minutes) | 0 | A reminder every N minutes while something stays down. 0 = no reminders. |
| At most this many emails per hour | 10 | All emails together; 0 = no limit |
| Send emails about | All on | Server offline, high CPU or memory, low disk space, monthly traffic quota, system services, monitored services, SSL certificates, recoveries. Turned-off alerts still show in the panel and in Incidents. |
See Alerts and email.
Outgoing mail (SMTP)
| Setting | Default |
|---|---|
| SMTP server | Empty, for example smtp.gmail.com |
| Encryption | SSL (465); also STARTTLS (587) or None (25) |
| Port | 465 |
| Username, Password | Empty. For Gmail, use an "app password". |
| From address | Empty = the username |
| From name | 3R Monitor |
Test → Send a test email sends a test email with these settings to the address in the box next to it, or to the alert recipients if it is empty. See Email.
Vulnerability checks
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Check for vulnerabilities automatically | On | Only software names and versions are sent to the vulnerability databases, never host names or IPs |
| Email serious ones right away | On | Exploited in the wild, or critical (CVSS ≥ 9) with a fixed version available |
| Daily digest includes | High and above | Only critical, high and above, medium and above, all severities, or no daily digest |
| Daily digest hour | 08:00 | In the panel's time zone |
| NVD API key | Empty | Optional; makes looking up older vulnerabilities faster (free from nvd.nist.gov) |
With AI vulnerability assessment turned on (AI → Settings), the AI decides which ones are emailed right away, and the daily digest is part of the AI daily report. See Vulnerability checks.
Traffic and blocklist / allowlist
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Days to keep IP statistics | 30 | How long per-IP statistics are kept on the master |
| Blocklist only blocks these ports | Empty = all ports | For example 80,443 blocks websites only. SSH is only ever blocked for single IPs and small ranges (/24 or smaller), never by country rules or larger ranges. |
| Allow admin IPs automatically | On | IPs that signed in to the panel in the last 7 days are always allowed, so you don't lock yourself out |
| Protected addresses | Empty | IPs or ranges, separated by commas, that are never blocked, not even by an administrator, and always allowed: VPN exits, office IPs, monitoring services… |
Blocking itself is turned on per server, in Servers → Settings. Allowlisted and protected addresses, your servers, the master and administrator IPs can never be blocked. See Traffic and blocklist.
Passkeys
The passkeys that sign the AI repairs you approve, the servers that trust them, and the fingerprints to compare. See Passkeys and approvals.
Default thresholds
These apply to every server unless the server's own settings override them.
| Setting | Default |
|---|---|
| Agents → Agent report interval (s) | 3 (1–300; smaller = closer to real time, but more traffic: see Bandwidth usage) |
| Agents → Offline after no report for (s) | 30 |
| Alerts → CPU alert % · Memory alert % · Disk alert % | 90 · 90 · 90 |
| Alerts → CPU / memory: seconds before alerting | 120 |
| Alerts → Service failures in a row before alerting | 3 |
| History → Days to keep history | 30 (check results and charts) |
Software updates
The update options are on the System page, not in Settings: System → Software updates → Check for updates automatically. See Upgrade.
